Lea Manor Y9 STEM event reaches new heights!

Year 9 superstar S.T.E.M. students have been immersed in the world of code breaking, science and engineering today as we welcome The Smallpeice Trust to Lea Manor High School.

Students worked in groups to

1. Build a paper tower

2. The cyber challenge to crack a code

3. Construct two holding devices to disconnect wire from a communications device.

The day culminated in a group presentation from each team and awards ceremony. The winning team were presented with a special 'Leonardo' branded engineering prize

Thanks to The Smallpeice Trust and special thanks to Leonardo who sponsored the day and have kindly offered two residential places to students following the event.
